Summer Days Camp Registration and Refund Policies

Summer Days Camp strives to nurture children and families through flexible scheduling options.  Registration policies help provide the best possible experience for your children by ensuring adequate supplies and supervision. We offer two means for you to plan for your camp experience.  First, you can register in advance, which makes you eligible for discounts and guarantees your child’s space at camp. Second, for those families whose schedules are decided in a shorter timeframe, we offer drop-in and punch card enrollment options.

Advance Registration

Families choosing to register for camp in advance are eligible for multiple week, sibling and buddy, and early registration discounts. Your early registration ensures your child’s space at camp. Once your registration has been processed by the office you will receive an invoice by email (typically within three business days of submitting your registration), and payment is expected before your child attends camp. Payment plans can be set up with Emily in the office. Discounts apply to registered families only. If your plans change prior to an advance registered week, please notify the office by Wednesday of the week before. If your child can not attend camp as registered on a given day, please notify the office by 9:15 AM. In both cases you would be eligible for camp credit, please see our policy below. Advance registration will close at noon on the Friday prior to the camp week to allow for adequate counselor and materials preparation. You may register for full weeks or for certain days within a week, however we ask for a two-day minimum in any given week.

Drop-Ins

A distinctive feature of Summer Days Camp is that we provide flexible camp attendance options for families through drop-ins. If there is room, Summer Days Camp accepts drop-ins from 9:15 AM on.  Parents of drop-in campers will be asked to register their child in the office and provide payment (checks, VISA or MasterCard accepted) at the time of registration. No discounts will be given for drop-in registrations. Annual registration fee will apply to first-time drop-in enrollment.

Punch Card

To provide further flexibility for families a limited number of Summer Days Camp punch cards will be available. Offered in five-day increments, these punch cards can be used for one or more campers (not necessarily from the same family) as long as a signed waiver is on file for each camper. Punch cards can be used during any week except the last week of summer, February, April and December camps, and must be used within the summer it is purchased. No discounts apply. The annual registration fee will apply to first punch card purchase. Please contact the office to purchase a punch card.

Early Drop-off/Late Pick-up

To help accommodate families whose schedules require campers to be dropped off before or picked up after camp hours, we offer an early drop off/late pick up option. For $50 per child per week the camper can arrive between 8 and 8:45 AM and picked up by 3:30 PM. To use this service, families must notify the office during registration so adequate counselor coverage can be planned. If a later pick-up is necessary, please make arrangements with the office ahead of time. Camp programming is only scheduled for the hours of 9-3.

Credits and Refunds

Camp credits will be given if a child is sick, there is a family emergency or some other unforeseen event has occurred. Families who call or E-mail our office by 9:15 AM to let us know that the child/children will not be attending must apply the unused value on another day at camp within the calendar year. Refunds will be given only for days in excess of camp days offered for make-up. For instance, if you missed six days during the summer and were not able to make these up during the summer, we do offer camp for four days in December. You would have the option of attending camp for those December days and you would receive a refund for two days you were not able to make up. If you do not attend in December, you will still receive a refund only for the two days you did not have the ability to make up.

Enrollment is limited to approximately 30 campers.

Fees can be refunded only if your child’s place is filled or under exceptional circumstances.

Please read the "Camper Checklist" prior to attending camp. Payment of your balance will be due at the start of your child's first session. If your child is enrolled for multiple sessions in the summer, you can pay in equal installments - i.e., first and fourth week if your child is signed up for eight or nine weeks..

If your child becomes unmanageable while at camp, the director, after discussion with the child's parents, has the right to suspend attendance.

Do not pay until you receive your confirmation E-mail.

Limited scholarships are available, please inquire with our executive director, Bruce Genereaux. He can be reached at 802 526 2055 or at Bruce@uvpresents.org Our scholarship application form can be reached by following this link.
