Campers’ ResponsibilitiesWhat you need to have for your adventure at Summer Days Camp:
Seasonal gear
Important: Sunscreen must be applied before arrival. There is no food sharing from lunch boxes because of allergies. All projects must go home at the end of the day. Additional Items: The following are items that are always useful for our projects at Summer Days Camp. Contributions of any of the following are greatly appreciated:
For Parents: Please be aware that we do not have a professional nurse on site, but can provide reasonable care. Therefore, we ask that you please include explicit instructions with your child’s medication as well as emergency contact numbers. All medication will be kept in the office. With regards to allergy concerns—please be aware that while we are a nut sensitive camp, we are not a nut free camp. We will take all precautions to prevent allergic reactions. We are a nurturing and noncompetitive camp. Campers and counselors frequently and voluntarily show appropriate forms of physical affection—hugs, tickling, sitting in laps, etc. No child will ever be asked or expected to participate in a game of ‘tickle monster’ or to sit in a counselor’s lap and such activity is not initiated by the counselors. However, if a child is in need of a hug, etc., the counselors will not refuse such contact. |
Recipe for a day at Summer Days Camp To a bushel of children ages 4 to 13 add: All kinds of weather A pinch of sunscreen A mountain of sand A generous helping of water An abundance of materials and supplies Fold in: Trained counselors and staff Visiting artist and guests Fold together day after day. This kind of PLAY is good for everyone.
